The two criminal investigators from Greece are in Cyprus, where they are participating in the Team of Independent Criminal Investigators tasked with investigating the “State Mafia” case.
The Team of Independent Criminal Investigators was formed today, Monday, and officially assumed its duties, marking the start of the independent criminal investigation.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice and Public Order, a brief meeting was held between the members of the Panel and the Minister of Justice and Public Order and the Deputy Chief of Police at the “Filoxenia” Conference Center.
During the meeting, discussions focused exclusively on procedural and organizational matters related to the commencement of the investigators’ work.
Upon the conclusion of the meeting, the Team immediately began its work, “carrying out its duties with complete independence, objectivity, and in accordance with the terms of reference assigned to it by the Council of Ministers,” the statement added.
Finally, the Ministry of Justice, as noted in the announcement, wished the members of the Group every success in their mission.
