We emphasize that reaching a definitive settlement of the Cyprus problem would contribute significantly to strengthening peace and stability in the region.
In an interview published today in the Turkish Cypriot newspaper Yeni Düzen, President Christodoulides expresses his conviction that, together with Tufan Erhurman, they can make history on the Cyprus issue.

THE NEW AMBASSADOR
Just a few minutes before meeting with Erciyuman, Nikos Christodoulides will have an important visit.
That of the new U.S. Ambassador to Nicosia, John Breslow, who will present his credentials. With no prior diplomatic experience and unknown in political circles, he succeeds Julie Davis, who, during her tenure, raised the bar for relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States.
