The possibility of a trilateral meeting in New York has ultimately “fallen through.”
According to government sources, the Turkish Cypriot leader, Tufan Erhurman, did not agree to a joint meeting with President Christodoulides and António Guterres, despite the UN Secretary-General’s desire for such a meeting.
Following this development, the President of the Republic, Nicos Christodoulides, is returning to Cyprus as scheduled, as his meetings have concluded.
