The dispute that erupted between the government and DISY continues with undiminished intensity, regarding the submission of a request to extend the term of office of the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna.
Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letympiotis and Democratic Alarm Spokesperson Onoufrios Koulla, have been trading barbs online for hours, using harsh language.
Onoufrios Koulla has spoken out again, via a social media post, to respond once more to Konstantinos Letympiotis.

Here is his post verbatim:
“The Government Spokesperson responded to me with one thing instead of another!
- I never use derogatory terms.
- I do not personally disparage anyone.
- I evaluate the government’s actions from a political standpoint.
- I always tell the truth. Will we secure fewer European funds without a Deputy Ministry for 5 months? Is the government claiming that? Are the others incompetent? There is no contradiction on our part. One thing does not negate the other. What part of what I said is not true? Were relatives and friends not appointed? Were best men not appointed? Were best women not appointed?
Let the Government Spokesperson refute these claims—if he can.
P.S.: To set the record straight, in any case, after 2013, the government at the time proposed, following a study, only three deputy ministerial positions (Tourism, Shipping, and Development, with the latter having been withdrawn—though certainly not because we’re against Development!!!).
