“As an occupied country, and with the Cyprus issue at a critical and particularly difficult juncture, strengthening our defense and forging closer ties—particularly military ones—with other countries, and especially with Greece, are necessary steps to safeguard our country’s security,” he added.
Mr. Michaelides congratulated the Ministry of Defense “on the outstanding parade” and wished Cyprus many happy returns.
