The upcoming government reshuffle, the possibility of appointing Democratic Party officials or members to ministerial posts, and new appointments to quasi-governmental organizations are expected to be the focus of the meeting between DIKO President Nikosla Papadopoulos and President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulides, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at the Presidential Palace.
According to reports, the meeting was arranged following a letter from Mr. Papadopoulos to Mr. Christodoulides, which was drafted in consultation with the DIKO Secretariat and in which he explained the party’s request for more active participation in the government and in the decision-making process. Members of the DIKO Secretariat will also participate in the meeting.
During the Christodoulides-Papadopoulos meeting at the Presidential Palace on June 12, 2026, the latter had raised with the President of the Republic the issues concerning the coalition government.
