A military parade was held in occupied Nicosia, marking the culmination of these celebrations of shame, 52 years after the Turkish invasion.

A formation of Turkish fighter jets violated the airspace of the Republic of Cyprus.

The fighter jets flew over the so-called “victory monument,” located on the beach at Kyrenia Five Miles, where the Turkish landing took place in 1974.

Turkish Navy ships have also anchored in Kyrenia.

The Turkish government was represented by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
