Each side is holding regular meetings with the United Nations in anticipation of further steps following the return to Cyprus of the UN Secretary-General’s personal envoy, who is expected on the island around the third ten-day period of July, according to CNA.
Competent sources told CNA that both the Greek Cypriot side as well as the Turkish Cypriot side, are holding separate meetings during this period with the United Nations team on substantive issues regarding the Cyprus problem, as well as to prepare for the next steps following the return to Cyprus of the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy, María Ángela Olguín.
Ms. Olguín is expected to return to Cyprus around the third ten-day period of July, while she is also expected to visit Brussels for meetings around the middle of the month.
