Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos held a series of meetings in New York. Specifically, as he noted in a post on X, he met with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, and the President and CEO of the International Peace Institute, Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, for a working dinner on the Middle East.
In another post, Mr. Kompos noted that the Republic of Cyprus is participating in the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly, with a series of meetings scheduled as part of an effort to highlight issues that concern and influence our foreign policy.
“International law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) must be fully respected,” he added.
