DISY has launched a scathing attack against AKEL, stating that it is gradually evolving into a party with toxic, radical, and extremist rhetoric.
“With the statements of its officials now bordering on or even crossing the line into hate speech, it appears to be systematically seeking to divide society. Through intimidation and bullying—both in public and on social media—against those who express a different opinion or articulate a level-headed and well-documented position.”

It is now obvious, as DISY adds, that “in the course it has chosen in the run-up to the 2028 Presidential Elections—which is its sole priority—it will continue to follow the same dangerous and ruthless tactics.”
The Democratic Rally will remain steadfastly the force of responsibility, stability, level-headedness, and respect for the rule of law, a bulwark and in complete opposition to the stance and practices of AKEL.
