Current regional developments and issues related to trilateral cooperation were the focus of a telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kompos and Greece’s Minister of Foreign, George Gerapetritis. Mr. Kompos also spoke by phone with his Egyptian counterpart, Badri Abdelati, with whom he also discussed regional developments and bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt.
In a post on X, Mr. Kompos stated that he had a telephone conversation today with Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, “as part of our ongoing coordination.”
He notes that the discussion focused on current regional developments and issues of trilateral cooperation.
Furthermore, in another post, Mr. Kompos stated that he had a “substantive” telephone conversation with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelati. “We discussed recent developments in the broader Middle East region, including the Eastern Mediterranean,” as well as bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt, with an emphasis on the energy sector, he added. “We agreed to remain in close contact,” he noted.
