The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, is meeting today, Thursday, as part of his visit to New York for the UN General Assembly.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:55 p.m. Cyprus time at the headquarters of the international organization.
Earlier, at 4:00 p.m. (Cyprus time), the President will attend a working breakfast organized by the Antenna Group and the Atlantic Council on the topic of “Consolidating EU-Gulf Cooperation for Regional Security and Prosperity,” during which he will deliver remarks.
At 20:00 Cyprus time, the President will host a luncheon for the Permanent Representatives of the five Permanent Members of the UN Security Council.
On Wednesday, President Christodoulides addressed the UN General Assembly, calling on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to allow for substantive negotiations on the Cyprus issue within the framework agreed upon by the UN, while also stressing that partition will not be accepted.
