The political world is bidding farewell to pioneering entrepreneur Nikos Siakolas following the news of his death.

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, described him as a pioneer and distinguished member of Cyprus’s business community.

In his written statement, the President noted that Nikos Siakolas left an indelible mark on the country’s business landscape, engaging in extensive business activities both in Cyprus and abroad for more than seven decades.

As noted, he was one of Cyprus’s largest employers, making a substantial contribution to the country’s economic development and social progress. At the same time, he made special mention of his philanthropic work and his contributions to the community, noting that he is bequeathing significant public welfare projects to Cypriot society.

In closing, the President of the Republic, on behalf of the Government and personally, expressed his sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.

With boldness and foresight, hard work, and dynamic action, he reshaped Cyprus’s business landscape, offering new prospects and creating thousands of jobs. My sincere condolences go out to his family and loved ones. We wish them strength and courage during these difficult times of loss.”

“It is with deep sorrow that we bid farewell to Nikos Siakolas, a man whose name was synonymous with progress, innovation, and creativity.

Nikos Siakolas was not merely one of Cyprus’s most important entrepreneurs. He was a visionary who believed in our country’s potential and worked tirelessly to turn that potential into reality. Through his work, the growth of the CTC Group, and its international presence, he made a decisive contribution to the modernization of the Cypriot economy, creating opportunities, jobs, and prospects for entire generations.

Equally important was his long-standing contribution to society. With humility and a sense of responsibility, he supported education, culture, social solidarity, and people, leaving behind a valuable legacy that will continue to inspire.

His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in Cyprus’s business community and public life. His life’s journey serves as an example of foresight, hard work, and social contribution.
