From the “heart” of the European Union, DISY and EPP MEP Loukas Fourlas is making a public appeal to end the conflict, noting that current events within the party are causing disappointment and concern.
In a video statement, Mr. Fourlas notes that this is not the first time he has used public statements to emphasize the need for unity, “only in this way can DISY provide solutions to the problems of citizens and society, rather than a fragmented DISY that projects an image of disunity.”

“Let’s put an end to the regrettable insinuations and below-the-belt attacks that cause even greater concern. Let us all stand united and, through the party’s procedures, determine who is the most electable and the most capable, and move forward to elect the President of the Republic. Let’s allow the party’s grassroots, as we have outlined, to have their say and make a decision.”
“We must keep the party united under these difficult circumstances so that we can successfully elect the President of the Republic,” concludes Mr. Fourlas.
