You're wasting time if you're afraid!
A new adaptation of the beloved fairy tale that generations have grown up with kicks off the season at THOK’s Stage 018 on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Little Red Riding Hood in a contemporary adaptation by Andri Theodotou and with the poetic directorial vision of Fotis Nikolaou, is set to strike a chord with audiences of all ages.
Life’s big and small questions, plenty of humor, and a generous dose of imagination promise a performance that will transport us to a magical world where anything can happen.
Little Red Riding Hood’s journey through the forest becomes a symbolic rite of passage in which the heroine is called upon to confront anxieties, desires, and dilemmas. The Wolf, in a contemporary interpretation, serves as both an external threat and an internal voice of uncertainty, while the forest transforms into a landscape of emotions, shapes, and colors, where the heroine encounters unexpected allies and companions.
The director’s rich choreographic background, combined with the troupe’s explosive energy, creates a unique theatrical world that straddles reality and fantasy. A story that plunges into the forest of Little Red Riding Hood’s dream, speaking of the courage to move forward, to challenge your fears, and to discover your own truth.
THOK brings together a creative team that combines experience, sensitivity, and a contemporary artistic vision, crafting a unique world for the audience. Ecati creates an atmospheric musical environment. Eleni Ioannou lends her distinctive contemporary aesthetic to the set design, while Sofia Mavromichali adds her magical touch to the costumes, bringing the beloved characters to life. The design and construction of the masks have been entrusted to the acclaimed mask maker Martha Foka.
