This week is also packed with festivals and events inviting us to villages and cities. Let’s see where we can go from today, Sunday, through next Saturday.
“From Mouth to Mouth – The Rose Fairy Tale”
A two-hour experiential storytelling workshop for children and adults, centered on the Cypriot fairy tale “The Rose Girl.” The first stop is the Marathasa House. Through storytelling, music, song, dance, drama, creative writing, and visual arts, participants will explore the Cypriot oral tradition in a creative and interactive way. At the same time, they will compose tsia-tsia songs, create soundscapes, and breathe new life into the stories through their own creative expression.

Saxophone Festival
The newly formed Cyprus Saxophone Orchestra will present two special concerts in Paphos and Protaras on August 24 and 25. Original and arranged works by Cypriot, French, Cuban, American, and Brazilian composers. These works showcase the dynamism and range of the twelve-piece saxophone orchestra, which consists of the six members of the saxophone family: the sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone, and bass saxophones.
Larnaca Film Festival
Summer Movie Screenings in Larnaca’s Squares and Parks from August 27 through 30. The Larnaca Film Club presents the 2nd Larnaca Film Festival—4 days filled with selected films, music, workshops, and guided tours of parks, squares, and neighborhoods of our city.
Where Have the Years Gone?
On Friday, August 28, at the Dymon Community Park, the musical performance “Where Have the Years Gone?” takes the stage. A tribute to the timeless work of Stavros Kougioumtzis, one of the most important figures in Greek songwriting, whose melodies and lyrics continue to move us and shape our collective memory to this day.
