New evidence is coming under scrutiny by the authorities investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Giorgos Mazonakis, with attention now focused on what allegedly took place inside the medical office on Karneadou Street in Kolonaki during the bloodletting procedure.
Particular weight is being given to the testimony of a 53-year-old nurse who was present at the scene, as well as to the phone calls that allegedly took place shortly before the call to the National Ambulance Service (EKAV). At the same time, authorities are awaiting evidence from the lifting of telephone privacy restrictions on the two doctors in custody in order to reconstruct the sequence of events with greater accuracy.
