One of the most powerful moments of this year’s Venice Film Festival took place on the evening of Thursday, September 3, when Martin McDonagh’s “Wild Horse Nine” had its world premiere.
After the screening ended, the audience in the Sala Grande rose to their feet and gave the film a standing ovation that lasted 13 minutes, with John Malkovich struggling to hold back his emotions.
