They may have some of Britain’s most impressive royal residences at their disposal, but when the doors to their private apartments close, King Charles and Queen Camilla seem to lead a rather unique daily life—at least by today’s standards.
From Clarence House and Highgrove to Sandringham and Balmoral, the royal couple reportedly prefers separate sleeping quarters, a practice that is by no means unusual in British aristocratic circles. In fact, reports suggest that Charles and Camilla have three bedrooms at their disposal: one for him, one for her, and one they can share. This information, however, has not been officially confirmed by the Palace.
