A double victory with a comeback and a move to the top for Augsburg, which defeated Eintracht 4-1 in Frankfurt in the second matchday of the Bundesliga.
The “Eagles” opened the scoring as early as the 6th minute with a header by Burkard. They seized the momentum, created and squandered at least four clear-cut chances to make it 2-0, but went into halftime with only a slim lead.
As a result, the Bavarians took the lead as late as the… 47th minute! Ibrahimović responded in kind and assisted on the 1-2, which came from Felhauer.
Both scorers were substituted, with Claude-Maurice—who replaced the first—also getting his name on the scoreboard, while the icing on the cake for Augsburg came in the 89th minute, with Rinder’s stunning direct free kick.
Thus, the visitors went 2-for-2 and climbed to the top of the standings, while Eintracht remained on one point.
