Barcelona’s first loss of the season, a 4-2 defeat to Paris, was accompanied by more bad news. Dani Olmo left the match injured, and initial assessments suggest a strain in his left adductor.
The Spanish international attacking midfielder will undergo tests today, but the only certainty is that he will miss the first Clásico of the season, as “Barça” hosts Real Madrid (10:00 p.m.) at Camp Nou. If the strain is confirmed, his recovery time could range from four to five weeks.
This is yet another blow for Hansi Flick, who already had to deal with two absences from last Saturday’s match against Betis: those of Zil Koundé and Eric García. The former is highly doubtful, while the latter will miss the next few weeks of action.
It’s worth noting that Olmo had previously suffered an adductor injury during the 2024–25 season, with his recovery period at that time lasting three weeks before he returned to action.
