Roma proved unyielding at Como’s home stadium, as the “Giallorossi” held their ground against Cesc Fàbregas’s team, despite being a man down for much of the match.
The direct red card shown to Doniel Malen in the 53rd minute significantly complicated matters for the visitors, who were forced to manage the pressure from their opponents.
After the sending-off, Roma retreated into their own half, while Como stepped up their attacking efforts in search of the winning goal. However, despite the constant attacks by Fabregas’s team, the home team failed to find the back of the net, with the score remaining 0-0 until the final whistle in this Serie A Matchday 6 fixture.
Tassos Douvikas was a starter and indispensable for Como, which now sits in 6th place with 11 points, while on the other side, Roma now trails league-leading Inter by 2 points, having been knocked off the top spot.
