AEK continues its planning for the new season, with several issues still pending regarding both contract renewals and player departures, with the goal of shaping the roster that Marko Nikolić wants ahead of the new season.

The focus is on the case of Orbelín Pineda. The Mexican international remains with his national team and will face England in the early hours of Monday morning in the Round of 16 of the World Cup. Once he has fulfilled his obligations with Mexico, new talks are expected with AEK regarding the renewal of their contract, with the club hoping to retain one of its most important players.

The situation regarding Luka Jović also remains open. There has been interest in the Serbian forward from clubs abroad, though no official offer has been submitted to AEK. Club officials are in contact with the player’s representatives regarding the extension of his contract, with developments expected in the near future.

At the same time, AEK is also moving forward with plans for player departures. Following the departures of Chrysopoulos and Sosa, who are already gone, the goal is to find solutions for players who are not part of Marco Nikolić’s core plans.

Paolo Fernandes remains on the list of players expected to leave, with both sides reportedly in agreement on the move. At the same time, AEK is seeking a way to terminate its contract with Frangi Piero, exploring all possible scenarios.

Also on the list of players expected to leave is the third-string goalkeeper, Angelopoulos, who wishes to continue his career with a team where he will get more playing time.
