AEK will play its final preseason friendly today (August 8) ahead of its official matches, facing Athens Kallithea at Allwyn Arena in a game set to tip off at 8:00 p.m.
Marco Nikolić’s team will use the game as its final test ahead of the Superbet Super Cup against OFI, which is scheduled for August 12. It’s possible that the Serbian coach will field a lineup similar to the one he has in mind for the season opener.

Thus, it is likely that Christos Alexiou and Dimitris Kaloskamis will take their places in the starting lineup, while AEK fans will have the chance to see Lovro Mayer, Kaan Kairinen, and Oleksandr Zubkov for the first time at Allwyn Arena. At the same time, Milan Vitalis, AEK’s latest signing, is expected to make his debut in the yellow-and-black jersey.
Today’s friendly match is the final opportunity for AEK’s coaching staff to assess the team’s competitive form before the start of official competition, while also giving AEK fans the chance to see the new signings up close.
As a reminder, the “Yellow-and-Blacks” have already played six friendlies during their preseason training in the Netherlands, against: De Graafschap (2-1), Vitesse (0-0), Groningen (2-1), Zwolle (3-2), Samsunspor (1-2), and Sint-Truiden (3-0).
