AEK continues its preseason training in the Netherlands with a tough match against PAOK today (7:00 p.m.). The “Yellow-Greens’” second friendly is expected to provide a more reliable gauge of their competitive form, as the level of difficulty is significantly higher than in the match against Helmond Sport.
Mauro Camoranesi, following the 2-1 victory in the first friendly, will seek to gauge his team’s readiness against a more demanding opponent. At the same time, he will evaluate the implementation of his tactical choices and the players’ performance on the field, with an eye toward the upcoming European matches against Beitar Jerusalem in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
The Italian-Argentine coach is expected to once again experiment with both players and formations, as he aims to gradually settle on the team’s core lineup. Meanwhile, the status of Anderregen and Samborit is of interest; they were absent from the first friendly match, and it remains to be seen whether they will see playing time against PAOK.
