The big moment is approaching. AEK returns to the big stage after eight years on Tuesday (7:45 p.m.) as it hosts LASK Linz at Allwyn Arena for the opening match of the Champions League League Phase.
With morale sky-high following the 5-0 victory over Aris and the outstanding performance they put on, “Enosis” wraps up its preparations today with a training session at its home stadium at 5:15 p.m., preparations for the match against the Austrian champions, for whom Robert Ljubicic also plays.

Marko Nikolić has no injury concerns, and it remains to be seen who he will select for the starting lineup. It’s unlikely we’ll see more than 1–2 changes to the starting lineup that faced Aris. The back line—with Strakosa, Rota, Moukoudi, Relvas, and Pilios remains unchanged; Marin and Mayer have guaranteed spots in midfield, as do Jović and Varga up front, so it appears that only two positions are up for grabs: that of the second central midfielder—with candidates including not only Vitalis but also Kairinen and Ariaga—and that of the left winger, between Gacinovic and Koita.
It should be noted that Georgiev, Kaloskamis, and Alexiou are excluded from the European roster for the entire League Phase, as is Koutesa, who is on loan.
Marko Nikolić will hold a press conference at 4:15 p.m. alongside a player from the team, while the Austrians’ press conference will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed immediately by their practice at Allwyn Arena.
