AEK continues its planning ahead of the new season, with its top priority being the resolution of two important matters concerning the current roster. The cases of Luka Jović and Stavros Pilios are now in the final stages, with developments expected in the coming days.
The Serbian forward is one of the players in whom AEK intends to invest for years to come. From the very beginning, there was a mutual desire to continue the partnership, and the two sides have maintained open lines of communication throughout the past few weeks.
According to the report, there are just a few final details remaining to finalize the agreement, with no substantial differences between the two sides. The goal is for Jović to have his contract finalized before the start of the main phase of preseason training in the Netherlands, so that he can integrate into the new game plan without any outstanding issues.
Developments are also positive in the case of Stavros Pilios. Negotiations to extend his contract are also at an advanced stage, and AEK is optimistic that a final agreement will be reached soon. In fact, it is possible that the Greek fullback’s contract renewal could be finalized even before that of Jović.
Meanwhile, the “Yellow-and-Blacks” continue to be active on the transfer front, with the main goal of signing a midfielder before the team departs for the Netherlands, so that the new player can be integrated into summer training from the start.
