AEL has turned its attention to Sunday’s (Oct. 11, 7:00 p.m.) match against Omonia 29M at the “Alphamega Stadium,” for Matchday 5 of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
The “Lions” have one goal: to pick up where they left off before the break for international matches and secure their second consecutive victory, following their win against Paphos.

The three-week break gave Hugo Martins’ players a much-needed breather and also provided time for the sidelined players to work toward their return.
Bruno Almeida and Ivan Milosavljević are expected to be available again for the Portuguese coach, having fully recovered from their injuries. Julius Zoke, on the other hand, will need more time and will remain out of the squad.
As for João Tavares, who has accumulated too many yellow cards, it was decided that he would serve his suspension during the next… match against Omonia Aradippou (October 18, 6:00 p.m.), and will thus be available for the league’s resumption.
