The 28-year-old tennis player, ranked No. 44 in the world, narrowly defeated the 36-year-old Slovak (No. 353) 2-0 in sets (7-6, 6-4) in Košice after a match lasting 1 hour and 48 minutes, bringing the series back to a dead heat following Sakellaridis’s loss to Karol earlier in the day.
