Olympiacos is set to sign Zota Silva to a contract for the coming years.
According to the latest reports, the “Red-and-Whites” are preparing to make the Portuguese winger’s contract permanent.
This is an expected and natural development. The player did not come to Olympiacos this summer just to make a brief appearance and leave, but to stay with the club.
After all, that’s why the buyout clause was included in the loan agreement between the two sides, and it’s now being activated, since he sees the Red-and-Whites as the right next step in his career.
Zota Silva is expected to sign a four-year contract (3+1), and the formalities are expected to be finalized within the next 48 hours.
The 27-year-old, who can play in any attacking position as well as behind the striker, was one of the players Olympiacos had acquired on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The other two are David Carmo and Gustavo Sa, but the two situations are completely different.
It’s worth noting that Olympiacos has a mandatory buy option for Carmo, which essentially means he is a player for the “Red-and-Whites.”
