Olympiacos has made yet another signing, announcing the acquisition of 29-year-old Austrian midfielder Dominik Prokop.
The official announcement: “Olympiacos Nicosia announces the signing of 29-year-old Austrian soccer player Dominik Prokop, who has signed a 1+1-year contract.
Dominik Prokop, who stands 1.72 m tall, plays in midfield, primarily as an attacking midfielder, though he can also play on the wings.
Prokop came up through the youth academy of Austria Wien, where he made 110 appearances for the first team, scoring 15 goals and providing 9 assists. He then played for Wehen Wiesbaden, HNK Gorica, TSV Hartberg, and FK Željezničar. With Hartberg, he made 96 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists, while last season he recorded a total of 32 appearances and 5 goals with Hartberg and Željezničar.
He has significant European experience, having made 14 appearances and scored 3 goals in the UEFA Europa League and its qualifying rounds. In addition, he has represented Austria at all youth national team levels, from the U16s to the U21s, making a total of 53 appearances.”
