“Anorthosis Famagusta, remaining true to its historic values and with a clear focus on the future of Cypriot soccer, announces the radical restructuring and modernization of its Soccer Academy through the introduction of a new, modern management and operational model.

• Strategic Objective

The primary and non-negotiable objective of this new structure is the objective evaluation, proper development, and effective promotion of young soccer players to the Club’s first, professional team.

• Organizational Structure & Development Stages

To ensure optimal management of each developmental phase, the Academy is now structurally divided into two distinct stages:

• A. Pre-Formation Stage (Managed by the Club)
  • Administrative Director: Mr. Dimitris Zografos.
  • Area of Responsibility: Includes all Grassroots divisions (Larnaca, Limassol, Free Famagusta) as well as the U14 and U15 competitive teams.
  • Strategic Goal: To provide athletes with excellent technical training and to foster the Club’s philosophy and identity (“Anorthosis DNA”).
• B. Elite Stage (Managed by the Company)
  • Administrative Director: Mr. Stavros Tragolas.
  • Area of Responsibility: Includes the U16, U17, and U19 competitive teams.
  • Strategic Objective: Specialization in tactics, maximizing physical conditioning, and achieving a leading presence in the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) leagues. At the same time, emphasis is placed on a smooth transition to the professional level, while strictly monitoring the athletes’ academic progress.

• General Management

Mr. Sotiris Flourentzou will assume the duties of General Director and Coordinator of both phases. Mr. Flourentzou will have full oversight of the Academy’s operations, ensuring cohesion, coordination among departments, and the faithful implementation of a unified strategy.

The Anorthosis Famagusta Academy is turning a new page. With a modern structure, expertise, and a clear plan, we are proudly investing in the future of our Club.”
