Another victory, another comeback, and Barcelona remains unstoppable in LaLiga! The Catalans defeated Sevilla 3-1 at the “Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán,” reaching seven wins in as many matches and sitting alone at the top of the standings.
Sevilla came out strong and took the lead in the 19th minute, when Fofana capitalized on an assist from Correa to make it 1-0. Barcelona’s response, however, was immediate, with Rafinha equalizing in the 22nd minute off a pass from Christensen.
In the second half, the visitors significantly stepped up their performance and completed the comeback in the 52nd minute. Lamine Yamal found Rafinha, and the Brazilian scored to make it 2-1, before completing his hat trick in the 69th minute, once again assisted by the young Spaniard, setting the final score at 3-1.
Barcelona had complete control in the second half and faced virtually no threat until the final whistle. In fact, they finished the game with 69% possession, 22 shots on goal, and 5 clear-cut chances, reaffirming their dominance.
In other matches, Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano drew 1-1 at “El Sadar,” in a fast-paced game with chances for both sides. The home team took the lead in the 16th minute through Budimir, but Rayo fought back in the second half and equalized in the 50th minute, with Camacho capitalizing on an assist from Pedrosa. Despite the pressure right up until the final whistle, neither team managed to score the winning goal.
In Bilbao, Athletic and Alavés played to a 0-0 draw, with the home team completely dominating but unable to convert their superiority into goals. Athletic had 69% possession, 24 shots on goal, and 1.64 xG, while their best chance came in the 70th minute, when Sanset missed a penalty kick.
