Good news for Thomas Tuchel, as Declan Rice and Nico O’Reilly will be available for tomorrow’s World Cup semifinal between England and Argentina.
The Arsenal midfielder had a stomach virus since the match against Mexico in the Round of 16 ten days ago and was bedridden for three days. In the quarterfinal against Norway, he couldn’t last more than one half; however, according to British media reports, he has now fully recovered.
Meanwhile, O’Reilly was substituted due to muscle discomfort in the quarterfinal, but it is nothing serious and he will also be available. The Manchester City star will compete with Jed Spence for the left-back position.
Thus, England’s only two concerns are the absences of the suspended Jarrell Quansah and the injured (wrist fracture) Jordan Henderson.
