Alarm bells are ringing in France and at Real Madrid over the condition of Kylian Mbappé, who left the match against Turkey due to injury.
The French forward scored the first goal of Zidane’s tenure with the national team, but his joy was short-lived. Immediately after taking the shot, he felt discomfort in his left knee, which had been his supporting leg during that play.

Kylian Mbappé initially tried to continue, but as he attempted a short sprint, he felt the pain again and fell to the field. Despite his efforts to return, he was ultimately substituted, with Désiré Doué taking his place.
Zidane appeared concerned in his initial comments, mentioning a knee sprain and emphasizing that the initial assessment was not encouraging, with France unwilling to take even the slightest risk.
The French Football Federation subsequently announced that Mbappé would leave the squad and would not play in the team’s next three matches.
This is even more concerning, as it involves the same left knee that had troubled the 27-year-old forward last season as well.
