Anorthosis faces Omonia Aradippou today (10/24, 7:00 p.m.) as part of the seventh matchday of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan.
“The Lady” has not gotten off to a good start this season, as she sits in second-to-last place with just one win in six matches.

Cyprus league by stoiximan: All eyes on “antonis papadopoulos”
Following the loss to Omonia 29M, the final straw broke the camel’s back, resulting in the dismissal of Nestro El Maestro from the bench. Barack Itzaki was the management’s choice, with the goal of turning things around.
Now, with the Famagusta team entering a new era, the need for an immediate “fresh start” is urgent. Anorthosis is determined to mount a comeback at all costs at the “Antonis Papadopoulos” Stadium and celebrate its second win of the season, which will provide a significant psychological boost and serve as the starting point for building a winning streak.
The 42-year-old coach will aim to mark his debut with a three-point win, though he won’t be able to count on Bergström, Van Neef, and Ioannou. On the other hand, Satin followed the regular training schedule and is likely to see some playing time.
On the other side, the “Doves” are traveling to Larnaca following their loss to AEL and aim to take advantage of the transitional period their opponent is currently going through, with the goal of inflicting damage and coming away with points from an… unwelcoming home field.
Okkas’s team may not have come away with anything from the previous game, but they put in a solid performance, paying the price for lapses in concentration and their own lack of sharpness. The Cypriot coach has been working with his players and hopes to see improvement in these specific areas so that his team can secure a positive result.
