Anorthosis provides an update on the educational program for students titled “History—Famagusta—Memories.”
The goal is for the young fans of “Kyriá” to learn firsthand about the club’s history in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth.
The announcement: “Anorthosis’s new educational program is now underway, offering students the opportunity to visit the ‘Freedom Antonis Papadopoulos’ Stadium with their school to learn firsthand about the history of the Club and Famagusta.
The initiative, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, aims primarily to bring the younger generation closer to the history, roots, and cultural heritage of Anorthosis and occupied Famagusta.
As part of the organized visits, the children will have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the Anorthosis Museum, learn about key milestones in the club’s history through historical artifacts, photographs, and trophies, and to learn about Famagusta and Anorthosis’s historical journey from its founding in 1911 to the present day.
At the same time, the educational experience includes a guided tour of the stadium grounds, the locker rooms, and the playing field, so that the children can see Anorthosis’s “home” up close.
This is an initiative of particular importance to the Club. Because Anorthosis is not just about soccer. It is history, memory, and culture. It is Famagusta.
Our hope is that children will come into contact with the history of this place at an early age, to understand what Anorthosis stands for, and above all, to keep the memory of Famagusta alive for future generations.
“Our history lives on through our children.”
