Apollon may not have managed to come away with the three points from the Limassol derby, but the 2-2 draw against Aris sends a positive message, especially given how the match unfolded.
The “Blues,” having to cope with several absences, found themselves trailing twice, but on both occasions they found a way back and showed character. Gary Rodrigues in the first half and Andreou in the second half brought Losada’s team back into the game, with Apollon proving that it has the solutions and the resilience required.

Hernán Losada also appeared satisfied with the effort and the result at the press conference, emphasizing that his team earned a point against a strong opponent and expressing his confidence that Apollon will achieve its goals. The Argentine coach also highlighted his players’ resilience, despite the difficulties they faced.
The only downside of the evening was Brown’s injury, which forced him to leave the match and prevent him from continuing. The player’s condition will be evaluated in the coming days, at which point there will be a clearer picture of the extent of the injury.
