Thomas Satoransky's time with Barcelona came to an end after the team lost the championship in the finals to Valencia.

“I thought we’d have a long-term project, that Mirotić and Saras would be here for many more years. That was one of the ideas—that we’d become competitive—but it didn’t happen. We need to acknowledge that, because it’s often forgotten. With Saras’s departure, things have changed a lot. I didn’t expect it at all. When Xavi Pascual arrived, we started playing better, but we let one of our best players leave,” the Czech guard emphasized.

Continuing his complaints about the fact that there weren’t many options besides himself at the “1” position, he said: “It got to a point where my lower back couldn’t take it anymore. It’s the worst back injury I’ve ever had, and it came at the worst possible time. Over the last three years, they haven’t managed my playing time very well.”

As for his career at Barcelona? “I’d like to believe that not everything is measured by wins, even though that’s how things are at Barça. I know I gave it my all and I’m leaving feeling somewhat at peace, but I’ll always remember that winning just one title is a disaster.”
