APOEL announced the lifting of the transfer ban that had been imposed due to the Youssef El Arabi case, following the reaching of a settlement agreement to pay off the financial obligations owed to the player.
In its announcement, the club’s management expressed its gratitude both to the Moroccan player and his representatives for their cooperation, as well as to the team’s fans, who played a decisive role by purchasing season tickets.
At the same time, it is emphasized that the unity and support of the fans are the club’s greatest strength, with the management expressing its optimism about the path toward better days.

“APOEL FOOTBALL PUBLIC LTD announces that the transfer ban related to the Youssef El Arabi case has been lifted, following the reaching of a settlement agreement that provided for a substantial down payment and the balance to be paid in installments, to settle the debts owed to the player.
The Board of Directors expresses its gratitude to Youssef El Arabi as well as to his representatives, Akim Benali and Antonis Rikka, for their constructive cooperation.
At the same time, the Board of Directors extends its warmest thanks to the APOEL fans, who, through their heartfelt response and support by purchasing season tickets, played a decisive role in making this settlement possible.
