Following the signing of Ángel García, APOEL is close to making another transfer, this time for the right side of the defense.

The “blue-and-yellows” are in advanced talks with Joan Sastre, with the Spanish defender high on the list of Nikos Papadopoulos and Zisis Vryzas.

APOEL’s management moved quickly to sign him, and all signs point to the 29-year-old player arriving in Cyprus in the coming days to finalize the paperwork and sign his contract.

Sastre brings significant experience, having played for PAOK as well as in Spain’s top two divisions, where he made a positive impression.
