The Romanian newspaper “Gazeta Sporturilor” is reporting on scenarios regarding a possible return of Marinos Tzionis to Cyprus.

According to the report, the UTA Arad international winger has been recommended to Paphos FC and APOEL, while his representatives are also considering the Arab market. Tzionis is under contract with the Romanian team through 2027.

Here is what the report says in detail:

“After a season in which Arad won the relegation playoffs, several changes were made at the club. There are also certain players that Adrian Mihalcea does not want to lose under any circumstances. One of them is winger Marinos Tzionis.

According to information obtained by Gazeta Sporturilor, several agents have expressed interest in the player’s situation. The Cypriot international is under contract with Arad until the summer of 2027.

The main problem for Arad is that the player’s representatives have plans for this summer and are considering various options. It is not out of the question that the next league in which Tzionis will play could be the Cypriot league.

Among the Cypriot teams to which the player has been recommended are Paphos FC and APOEL. The Arab market is also a possible option for the player.

In the season that recently concluded, Marinos Tzionis played in 30 matches across all competitions and scored just one goal. His most recent notable appearances were with the Cyprus national team, when he managed to score in both friendly matches against Slovenia and Liechtenstein.
