APOEL continues its efforts to secure a high-profile transfer, with Roberto Pereira high on the “blue-and-yellows’” transfer agenda.
The Nicosia-based club wants to bring in a player of proven caliber with extensive experience in top leagues, believing that the Argentine midfielder possesses all the qualities needed to immediately elevate the team’s level of play.

This decision has the full support of both head coach Nikos Papadopoulos and Sports Director Zisis Vryzas, who believe that a player with the resume and personality of “Toukou” can be a key figure in APOEL’s midfield.
Discussions between the two sides are ongoing, though this is a particularly difficult case. The “blue-and-yellows” are making an effort to secure the 35-year-old star’s signature, while the financial terms of the deal certainly play a significant role.
If the transfer is ultimately completed, Pereira is expected to prove particularly valuable to the team’s plans for the new season. He is a player who performs with equal ease in all midfield positions—whether as a “number 8,” an attacking midfielder, or in a more defensive role—offering experience, quality, and a wide range of options.
