Apollon faces its first competitive test in the Netherlands, with the “blue-and-whites” taking on Roda Raalte today (July 4, 12:00) against Roda Raalte as part of their summer preseason.

The “blue-and-whites” will have the opportunity to take their first “test” of the year, with the goal of gradually getting back into competitive rhythm and drawing useful conclusions.

The result is secondary, as the priority is to properly manage playing time and improve the team’s performance ahead of the rest of the friendly matches.

Hernán Lozada is expected to give playing time to several of his players in order to get an initial, comprehensive picture of the state of the roster.

At the same time, a significant setback has arisen very early in the preseason, as Connor Goldson is not on the team’s roster. The Brazilian center back is dealing with a health issue while in England and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
