Mousounta is no longer with Aris.
The “Light Brigade” announced in a statement that it had mutually agreed to terminate its contract with the Gabonese soccer player.
The statement reads: “Aris Limassol announces the mutually agreed-upon termination of its contract with Alex Mouounda.
The 25-year-old midfielder from Gabon joined our team in the summer of 2021 and made a significant contribution to its successes. Wearing the Aris jersey, he won the league title in the 2022–23 season, claimed the 2023 Super Cup, and competed with our team in the Europa League group stage.
During the 2025–26 season, the international midfielder made 16 appearances and scored one goal. In February, he was loaned to the Israeli club Hapoel Petah Tikva until the end of the season.
In total, Mousounda played in 102 official matches for Aris in domestic and European competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing one assist.
