Aris did exactly what it set out to do in its first European game in front of its home crowd, delivering an impressive performance against Burgos and celebrating a 93-80 victory to go 2-0 in the EuroCup.

Vassilis Spanoulis’s team took the court at “Nick Galis Hall” with energy and determination, quickly putting behind them the poor showing from their Stoiximan GBL opener against Karditsa. From the opening minutes, the “Yellows” dictated the pace and closed out the first quarter at 28-14, laying the groundwork early for a comfortable victory.

Aris maintained the same pace in the second quarter, with the defense playing exceptionally well and the offense finding scoring opportunities from various players. The lead skyrocketed, with the Thessaloniki team heading to the locker room with an impressive 53-30 advantage. The outcome of the game was essentially decided, with Aris in complete control.

The standout player for Spanoulis’s team was Nenad Dimitrijević, who finished the game with 21 points and 6 assists, playing a pivotal role in both playmaking and execution. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl also had a very strong performance, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Anthony Mokoka, who scored 11 points, and Vasilis Charalampopoulos, who added 13, also made significant contributions.

In the second half, Aris didn’t need to push as hard, as they had already built a comfortable lead. The “Yellows” managed their lead well, not allowing Burgos to get back into contention for the win.

Quarter scores: 28-14, 53-30, 69-55, 93-80.
