Aris provides a report on the day following the team’s first friendly match on Polish soil, where the players underwent recovery training.
The latest news regarding Michalis Theodosiou, who was injured, is not positive, as he suffered a shoulder dislocation and will return immediately to Cyprus for further examinations.
Additionally, the team’s 19-year-old goalkeeper, Tasos Pisias, will continue his career with APEA Akrotiri on loan.
Here is the full statement: “The first friendly match in Poland against Legia gave Aris a sense of satisfaction, which is considered important for the self-confidence of the young players in particular, regardless of whether it was just a friendly match.
However, Saturday’s match also brought some bad news regarding Michalis Theodosiou’s injury. The young forward fell to the ground during a challenge and had to leave the field injured after dislocating his left shoulder. The team’s medical staff reset his shoulder, but it was decided that the player would return to Cyprus tomorrow to undergo additional (MRI) to accurately determine the extent of the injury and decide on the appropriate treatment plan.
In other news, our team’s goalkeeper, Tasos Pisias, will continue his career with APEA Akrotiri on loan until the end of the 2026–27 season.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who is a member of the U-19 national team, has been with our team for the past two years, and the goal of this loan is for him to gain experience through playing time at the men’s level.
As for the rest of the team, Sunday’s schedule included recovery work in the gym, followed by ice therapy, a swim, and a sauna. Starting tomorrow, the players will return to training as they enter their second week of preseason training in Poland.”
