Bosko Šutalo is now in Thessaloniki, and Aris is in the final stages of completing yet another important move to strengthen its defensive line.
The Croatian center back traveled to Greece on Sunday afternoon and is expected to undergo the standard medical and fitness tests before the deal is finalized.
The agreement with Standard Liège provides for a one-year loan of the 26-year-old center back, accompanied by a purchase option for the summer of 2027, which indicates that Aris views Sutalo as a long-term solution. The Croatian is also capable of playing on the flanks of the defense, giving Michalis Grigoriou a valuable asset for different formations and tactical needs.
Sutalo comes from Osijek, with Atalanta investing in him in 2020, followed by stints at Dinamo Zagreb and Hellas Verona. Last year, he played for Krakow on loan from Standard, putting in a full season and proving he can perform at a high level.
With his arrival in Thessaloniki, Aris is now just waiting for the formalities to be finalized before announcing its new center back.
