Aris’s search for reinforcements in central defense continues, with the case of Hondur Magnusson remaining in the spotlight, but the “yellow-and-blacks’” patience is not unlimited.
The Icelandic center back remains high on the transfer list, despite the fact that several difficulties have arisen in negotiations recently. Aris has submitted a specific offer and is waiting for the player to adjust his demands to the club’s financial situation. The goal is to have a definitive answer by the beginning of next week, so as to clarify whether the deal can move forward.
If no agreement is reached, Aris is ready to immediately turn to another option. An alternative option has already been identified, as the team’s management wants to have at least one new center back available before the squad departs for the main phase of preseason training in Brescia, on the 21st of this month.
The need to sign a center back is considered urgent, with Michalis Grigoriou awaiting reinforcements at a position that is a top priority in the team’s transfer plans.
At the same time, the first few days of summer training are giving the Greek coach the opportunity to comprehensively evaluate the existing roster. Players who were not initially part of the main plans are now being treated as active members of the team and are being asked to take advantage of the second chance they’ve been given.
Players such as Bouzaid, Galanopoulos, and Mikic now have the opportunity to prove that they can contribute more and earn a spot in the lineup once again. In contrast, in other cases—such as those of Donis, Moron, and Alfarella—the club appears more open to potential offers.
At the same time, Michalis Grigoriou is closely monitoring several young players. Kamtsis, Papasaraphianos, and Haroupas have already signed professional contracts, while Atreidis, Sitaras, Antoniadis, Karamanlis, and Zitos have the opportunity to prove that they can meet the demands of the first team.
