Pepe Poeta already appears to be in a difficult position at Armani Milan, following the Italian team’s poor start to the EuroLeague.
Armani has just one win in four games in the competition, and according to *La Repubblica* reporter Fabrizio Lorenzi, the first clouds are already gathering over the Italian coach. In fact, as he reports, Poeta’s position is no longer considered entirely secure.
Should the club’s management decide to make a change in the coaching staff, one of the leading candidates is reportedly Giannis Sfairopoulos. The Greek coach has been without a team since 2025, when he completed his tenure with Red Star.
The situation at Armani has become even more pressing following the loss to newly promoted Verona in the Italian league, while Poeta himself has publicly taken responsibility for the team’s performance, emphasizing that it must improve immediately.
For now, however, no decision has been made to replace the coach. Armani is in an evaluation period, and the coming weeks are expected to be decisive for Poeta’s future on the bench.
